Sinead O’Brien

Sinead O’Brien is a PhD candidate at UL. She has 20 years’ experience working internationally across data security, HE/FE, cultural heritage, health, payment processing, logistics, social media and publishing. Previous research work projects have included the European projects meSch for cultural heritage and Innovage to promote healthy aging.

Her thesis will be exploring how tangible interfaces can be built to improve the lives of autistic children. Here she plans to take a neurodiversity affirmative approach utilising participatory research and design practices. The research is funded by the UL faculty of Science and Engineering.
