Z-tiles bridge the physical and the digital,
and their form reflects this hybrid nature. The shape allows
the tiles to be interlocking and self-holding, and, by constraining
how tiles combine, it also simplifies the networking algorithms
required to establish the tile's position within the floorspace.
Each Z-tile [grey] is covered by an array
of pressure-sensitive elements, called "prexels"
[red].
