Z-Tiles emerged from two sensate floorspace
projects: the University of Limerick's "Litefoot",
and MIT's"Magic Carpet". Z-Tiles combines key advantages
of its predecessors -- high spatial & temporal resolution
[Litefoot] and sensitivity to pressure [the Magic Carpet]
-- and does so using an architecture that is modular &
scalable.
