Serena Olivia

[su_tabs][su_tab title=”About”]Serena worked at the IDC as an assistant researcher as part of her PhD scholarship research program. She is an architect and lives in Milan (Italy), where she is working for the Technical University “Polytechnic” within the “Human Factors and Product” department. For her Laurea thesis she studied the Ergonomic Design inside the Crew Rescue Vehicle, a unit of the International Space Station, in order to analyse and improve the visibility, accessibility and usability of tools inside the vehicle for improving the crew’s work. Serena was admitted to the PhD program in industrial design and Multimedia Communication at Milan Polytechnic and currently she studied how industrial designers can improve the human experience with the physical environments. She is also involved in a research project in the field of Domotics (applied information and communication technologies in and around the home) on the topic: “Design and testing the user/techonology/product interaction”.
