Ulrika Dreifaldt

[su_tabs][su_tab title=”About”]Ulrika was a PhD student in the IDC and is worked on the DBMT (Design Based Medical Training) project. She investigated the possibilities of using simulated environments as a training tool for medical trainees. She has a Master of Science degree in Media Technology and Engineering from Linköpings Universitet, Sweden. In her fourth year she was focusing on visualization and haptics. The modules she’s taken also include Scientific Visualization, Information Visualization, Computer Graphics, Image Processing and Analysis, Software Development and Artificial Intelligence etc. She is also interested in issues dealing with human-computer interaction. Ulrika was a research assistant working with the “Shared Worlds” project as an intern at the IDC for 8 months 2003/2004. She did her Master theses project at the IDC together with Erik Lövquist. Their project investigated the possibilities of combining stroke rehabilitation with haptics. The title of the thesis is “The construction of a Haptic application in a Virtual Environment as a post-Stroke arm Rehabilitation exercise.” In her spare time Ulrika likes to work out and loves to dance.
