Nicola LeGear
Nicola graduated from the University of Limerick with a BSc in Computer Systems in 2004. She did an MSc by research focusing on multi-modal artistic interfaces. Her main research interests include haptics, artistic interfaces, multimodal interfaces, the design of interfaces, digital art, and creating technology for art.
She presented a poster at SIGGRAPH 2005, entitled ‘A Multimodal Artistic Interface.’ She is very interested in the relationship between artists and computers, and how this can be improved to enhance the artistic experience. As part of the IDC she worked on the INDeT project, she also actively worked as the IDC’s social leader (organising outings, parties, sports etc).
